This week we had a customer who called us inquiring about replacing her Mail Boss lock. She told us that her home had been broken into and the thief had actually stolen the key to her Mail Boss locking mailbox! (The gall of some people, I swear… )
Anyway, she was worried that the thief might come steal her mail so have put their mail on hold until they can replace the lock – smart thinking! We sent her out a new lock free of charge, and in exchange we get this letter to share with you all! Enjoy…
Thank you so much for replacing my lock set for me. I felt so confident about the safety of my mail since I got my locking mailbox about four months ago. Our mailbox is about a quarter-mile from the house so keeping it secure during the day when my husband and I are at work is important. However, that sense of security was shattered last week when our house was burglarized in the middle of the day. I was still feeling pretty good that at least my mail was secure and then I noticed that the extra mailbox key that hung on its lanyard on a coat rack by the door was gone! Who would have thought they would recognize the mailbox key! I can ‘t wait to get the lock changed out so I can regain my peace of mind.
So please warn your customers to keep their mailbox keys in a safe place!
