Mail Boss marketing manager Jenny DeRaspe-Bolles recently contributed in Condo Management magazine. The article focuses on mail security in multi-unit housing and was published in the July/August issue. The piece emphasizes that in considering residents’ security needs, managers must not overlook the fastest growing crime in America: identity theft.

All too often, multi-unit housing mailboxes (aka cluster boxes) are targeted by thieves who can access a great amount of sensitive mail with very little effort. The reality is most ‘locking’ cluster boxes can be opened with a screwdriver in just seconds, and while apartment dwellers and condo owners may believe their mail to be safe it is actually more frequently targeted by sly criminals.
