Incoming Mail Slot Feature

Mail Boss Mailbox Features High Capacity Mail Storage

The Postmaster General Approved Mail Boss Curbside security locking mailbox features an opening that is 10 ¼” W x 1 7/8” H. The slot for incoming mail is large enough to allow a new box of checks, small packages, and magazines. Phonebooks, small prescription packages, and other mail parcels are also among the many items that will fit into the slot on the large-capacity MailBoss Curbside security locking mailbox.

The interior of the mailbox can hold days of mail safely. With storage dimensions of 18” deep x 11” wide x 7” tall, the Mail Boss can protect your mail for extended periods of time. The large capacity of the locking mailboxes from the Mail Boss are designed to support individuals who get their mail every day as well as individuals who travel often and are not able to collect their mail regularly.

Due to the size of the opening and the design of the Mail Boss Curbside locking mailbox, it is not vulnerable to fishing by mail-thieves. The slot is large enough for the common mail items such as magazines, bills, and small packages, but too small for individuals to reach into or use tools to fish for your mail.

Is the opening and the design of the Mail Boss wall mount locking mailbox, also not vulnerable to fishing by mail-thieves? Is the slot large enough for the common mail items such as magazines, bills, and small packages, but too small for individuals to reach into or use tools to fish for the mail inside?

The Wall Mount Mail Boss mailbox, in both the Metro and the Townhouse styles, is designed to prevent fishing by would-be mail and identity thieves. The opening is not large enough to reach down and retrieve mail. The Wall Mount also features the same patent-pending anti-pry device as the curbside MailBoss. The Wall Mount MailBoss mailboxes feature an incoming mailbox slot that is large enough for magazines, bills, small packages, etc. as with the Curbside locking mailbox. It has smaller overall dimensions though, so it cannot store accumulated mail for as many days as the Curb side Mailboss mailbox. Hope this answers your question!

An outgoing slot or mail clip is featured on all of our curbside and wall mount units. That is, an outgoing slot is accessible via the top door, or in the case of the mail manager, a clip is present on the inside of the front door. Outgoing mail is obviously not secure and therefore if you are sending something important we strongly encourage bringing it your local post office or pickup location.

    Thanks for your inquiry,
    Gabriel
